  • Eric Kunnen
    • ADA CAP Meetings – Attended the overall ADA CAP meeting and the Capacity Sub-Team Meeting.  The sub-team meeting was focused on faculty learning day discussions.
    • Accessibility Survey Sent to Listserv – Created and sent a survey on faculty support resources for the EDUCAUSE listerv.  Will gather results and share.
    • Bb Survey Work – Edited student and faculty survey.  Sent to DLIT EOL and IT for feedback.  Target deployment November 30th.
    • Prepared presentation for being a panelist for the MCCVLC Webinar on HLC Accreditation.  Presented with Ric U and Jackson CC.  Here is a summary of the session:

      Learn from two colleges that have completed their substantive change review of their online program. What did they do to prepare? What did they learn during the site visit and what would they encourage others to consider based on their experiences. During this 90 minute webinar representatives from Jackson Community College and Grand Rapids Community College will provide you with practical advice.  To register online and get the login information go to:

    • IRP Review of Bb Surveys – Sent a request for review of the surveys for Blackboard for faculty and students.  Deployed the surveys.
    • Planned agenda for Bb Team and facilitated meeting.
    • Attended a webinar by Blackboard through the Chronicle entitled “The Road Ahead at Bb: Institutional Benefit and Value”.  New tools were presented that are available in SP10 now and in the future such as: Institutional Surveys, Video Everywhere, Retention Center, Item Analysis Tool for Assessments, Bb Collaborate Mobile with Gradebook Integration, xPLor learning object repository, social learning tools, analytics, and more.
    • xpLor Final Beta Conference Call – Penn State, Durham University in the UK, Spalding University, Georgia Virtual Technical Connection, SUNY, U of Michigan, shared course development techniques and strategies for building online courses.  This will be helpful in planning for the master course template process per ratification of the new faculty contract.
    • Attended the CTE Open House and the Leadership Institute Meet and Greet
    • Held a conference call with the Bb Connect Team to discuss 2way text deployment status.
    • Attended a meeting about the move (and shared needs for privacy for office and room design) from 125M to 316M for the office of DLIT with facilities.
  • Meegan Willi
    • Met with Frank C. for a Camtasia Relay one-on-one training, 11/29.
    • Met with Yan B. to assist him with the Blackboard grade center, 11/29.
    • Attended the GMail Users Team Meeting for Eric on 11/29. The team has been collecting the different ways users use their groupwise email and calendar and identifying how similar workflows will be done in the new environment and identifying things that may not be possible in the new system.
    • Facilitated the Blackboard Interactive Rubrics session on 11/30.
    • Participated in a Blackboard User Groups conference call on 11/30 for MiBUG. Blackboard is piloting new user group areas in course sites for communication, and this call was to see if there were any issues, feedback, or questions.
    • Attended the ADA Cap Meeting on 12/3.
    • Attended the ADA Cap Capacity Subteam meeting on 12/4.
    • Attended the Blackboard Team Meeting on 12/4.
    • Met with Melanie S. in regards to a new online course WE 189 on 12/4.
    • Attended the CTE Holiday Celebration on 12/4.
    • Began promotion for the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program – all catalyst awards including the exemplary course award is now open for submission. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2012.
    • Connected with Jeff Sykes for Faculty Learning Day Presentation.
  • Jose Mora
    • Patricia Empie had a student submitted a test ahead of time and was wondering if their is a way to allow them to start the test over from where she left off. There is not a way to do this, but I provided little workarounds to get a similar result
    • Marcia Rango Needed help with installing BB Drive on her staff computer and then learning how to access and manage documents from the drive.
    • Marcia Rango Wanted to make several documents available to her students on Blackboard. Explained to he about BB Drive and how to share a directory with her students.
    • Created new online sections
    • Processed reimbursements
    • Gathered Online data for Patti for Academic Program Review
    • Attended Blackboard Webinar
    • Attended Blackbord Team meeting
    • Answered incoming phone calls
    • Answered DLIT email
      • Are the online classes based on participation a few times a week like normal college classes or do they require daily work?
      • I am a former student at GRCC and recently my email account has become disconnect or erased, either way I can not sign on to it. I still used that email and was hoping there was a way for me to retrieve it so I could transfer everything over to a new account. Thank You.
