Is the old model dead? Will online learning help or hinder the process? Come to our aimWest event in November to learn from top educators how they are transforming the education culture and creating a new generation of student entrepreneurs who work, think and learn differently to prepare for the jobs of the future. (Szymon Machajewski is a panelist.)
    • Deans Council Course Fees – Shared that GRCC brings in almost a half million each year in the $16 per contact hour DL fee and also the tech fee that students pay.  These currently go into the general fund.
    • New Survey Tool in Bb SP10 – Shared with Donna K and Denyse B that there is a new survey tool in the latest release of Blackboard (Service Pack 10). We are currently on SP9, but we plan to get SP10 up on a test server to evaluate the new features. The new tool is called “Enterprise Surveys and Course Evaluations” and is included at no extra charge. There is nice integration with Bb and it will make it easier to deploy a survey to a set of courses, an individual course, or also externally. When a survey is deployed to a course a reminder “banner” appears for the student at the top of the screen. The survey can also be taken on a mobile device.
