    • Phase 2 of Bb Pilot Begins with 9 more faculty evaluating the system during the 2nd 7 weeks.  The OHCC will run in the SP8 system as well as the STI.

  • Eric Kunnen
    • Attended ETOM Higgins Lake Retreat – I became President of ETOM board.  Sessions were on the topics of Learning Analytics and Social Networking in teaching and learning.
    • Updated Flipped Classroom website:
    • Attended a classroom technologies meeting with  MV and DA and discussed clicker implementation planning.
    • Met with DA, JK, and MN with Starfish for SIS integration discussion.
    • Bb Connect White Paper Highlights GRCC (Garry B, Eric K, and Kevin O were quoted) –
    • HLC Deans Council Report Compiling, Gathering, Drafting, Writing, etc.
  • Meegan Willi
    • Created five new video tutorials featuring Blackboard 9.1 SP 8 – the service pack we are upgrading to for the Fall 2012 semester.

    • Updated Summer OHCC Blackboard shell with new videos. The OHCC session that begins in July will be held in Service Pack 8.
    • Met with Carol J. on June 14th to help with entering final grades.
    • Met with Kellie R. on June 15th to troubleshoot Blackboard Drive and sharing files via the content system.
    • Attended ETOM Higgins Lake Retreat June 18th-19th. The sessions were on Social Media and Learning Analtyics.

    • Emailed all Summer 2012 online course developers with due date to submit development this summer – August 17th.
      • During the Fall and Winter semesters the committee has regularly scheduled meetings once per month, but this summer the committee changed to include the new DLIT EOL faculty (Gary Ebels and Mursalata Muhammad, Lisa Gloege was previously on the team) and due to summer schedules and vacations, we are meeting on an as needed basis. A new monthly meeting time will be determined based on the committee’s schedules at the end of August.
    • Attended a Professional Development Activity – Breaking Down Beef Cuts – on June 20th
    • Attended Bb AX Partnership Meeting Webinar on June 20th, GRCC will be part of a smaller subgroup for this Accessibility Project Group on Social Learning.
    • Assisted other faculty drop ins and submitted tracking forms to – summary is available here [] – 3 faculty with questions related to (1) how to get TurningPoint software installed on a classroom computer, (2) questions on the Blackboard portfolio tool, and (3) how to link to the mp3 created by Camtasia Relay.
  • Jose Mora
    • Attened Volunteer Wildlife Rehab Center
    • Worked with Bryan and Amr to create new queries for DLIT and DEL respectively.
    • Met with printing staff to edit drafts for DLIT promo material
    • Also submited printing request on Ric’s behalf for SUS promotion
    • Gathering data for Eric’s presentation to Deans
    • Reserved flight and hotel for EDUCAUSE conference

      • I was trying to get some information about the proctoring options for distance learning students. I couldn’t find if there was an option for online proctoring in addition to traditional in-classroom proctoring.
      • I am looking into taking Journalism as an online course but I am confused as to how to sign up for it in the online student center because of the CIP code.
      • I am enrolled in an online class, SO251, starting tomorrow. The course is not showing up on my Blackboard yet and I just want to be sure it will show up tomorrow and I don’t need to do anything else. I have never done an online course through GRCC so I do not know if it is the norm for the course not to show up in my courses until the start date.
      • I dont have any assignments for this course, it shows my instructor is Cedric williams. It doesnt show anything on my blackboard for any assignments. I’m registered in to classes, one for Py 201 General Psychology and the second for SO 251 Principles of Sociology.
      • How does signing up for online courses go about? I need to know what to do step by step so I can be ready, and able to start school in the fall.
