  2. SP8
  3. Relay
  4. Automation

In attendance: Mark Nordblom, Eric Kunnen, Meegan Willi, Garry Brand

  • What’s broken: Building Blocks
    • Professor Notification Tool
      • Changing from unavailable to available did not fix the issue
      • Mark needs to update the script which we ran to fix an older issue on guests accessing the Class Roster Tool
      • Mark is working on fixing this
    • SoftChalk and McGraw-Hill
      • We need these to be unavailable under the Build Menu – add Interactive Tool Menu.
      • Turning the building block off, setting the default and turning it back on may fix it. Mark will research.
  • SP8
    • My Courses Plus Building Block needs to be fixed; either we look at this or send it to Seneca and see if they will be addressing it.
    • The error doesn’t seem to show up consistently with all users.
    • Slow cache issue
  • Relay
    • How does an instructor install Relay on a Windows 7 machine?
      • It is going to be a zen object. Faculty will go through Novell to add the recorder.
      • Relay is not a lab object and not currently part of the lab images.
      • For the moment if a faculty member comes in and needs to download and install relay on their laptop, we can email Mark.
  • Automation
  • Reclaiming Space
    • Mark will look into finding orphaned content. Submit ticket to Blackboard.
    • Submitting a ticket to Blackboard on resolution to multiple copies of copies.
  • Blackboard Drive
    • Mark is working with Patrick who is in the process of converting some users over from using network drives to the Blackboard Drive.
    • Mark needs to update the install file with the Bb XIDs and not the natural path which is causing bogus installs.
