Yesterday was the annual Faculty Learning Day at Grand Rapids Community College. There were over 20 sessions presented by faculty and staff from GRCC. Classroom Response Systems (also known as “clicker”) was one session, presented by Lisa Gloege, Moss Ingram and Szymon Machajewski. The session covered how clickers, Twitter, and text messaging can be used in the classroom to promote student meta-cognition and engagement.

Machajewski utilizes twitter in his classes as an alternative clicker. Read more how on clickers can be used in the classroom and how twitter can be a powerful alternative clicker at Classroom Response Systems and Beyond, a blog post by Machajewski.
