Creative Uses for Wimba Voice Tools

I had a couple faculty approach me this week about using Wimba Voice Tools in their teaching. One was from Business and the other from the Dental/Health area.

Applying Customer Service Skills

In the one case, the faculty member did an activity where students role-played how they would use customer service skills to field a phone call. They would then be assessed (and assess themselves) on how well they were able to handle the situation.

Providing Feedback on Counseling Session

In the other case, dental students were presented with an older patient who had issues (too much Mountain Dew). They were to counsel the patient and would receive feedback on their performance.

In both cases, the faculty approached me about how they could incorporate Wimba Voice Tools in Blackboard to assist with the activities. I was able to meet with them (see image courtesy of Eric Kunnen) and help them obtain their instructional goals.
