New Grading Features for Discussion Board!
There are some new tools for grading discussion forums in Blackboard 9.1, SP6. First, there’s the ability to have participants show up in the “Needs Grading” area of the Grade Center. If you enable this feature (when you create or edit a graded forum), you can set a threshold for the number of posts that must appear first (see below).
While you’re there, you can also associate a rubric with the forum (see our blog post about the new rubrics). Second, you can now see when students are “In Progress” (i.e. posting to that forum) in the Grade Center column. This gives you the ability to collect and grade posts from the Discussion Board or Grade Center! Here’s a video:
